Wow, over a hundred people turned out for the “meet and greet” at Mariasol’s Mexican Restaurant at the end of our very familiar Santa Monica Pier. It was a warm and clear night. We had a spectacular view of the bay and the pier and its games and rides. We saw the sun set over the ocean and enjoyed the sparkle of the lights along the shore and the pier as night fell. We had the upstairs room with windows along three walls all to ourselves—and it was crowded. We munched on chips and salsa and most of us had dinner. Best of all, we mingled, we laughed, we connected—and we remembered. It was a good draw and a wonderful ice breaker for Saturday night. Thank you for coming and exceeding our expectations! A few people gathered at a committee member’s home in Santa Monica and car pooled to the pier to save money on parking. The pictures below include some taken there as well as pictures taken at Mariasol’s. These pictures were contributed by several different people. For lack of space, we used maiden names without married names of some of the ladies. |
